A half day workshop, offering individual tuition. Spinning wheel and fleece provided.

FELT and SILK PAPER MAKING

Both techniques provide your own fabric, which can be used for embroidery, or just to admire. All materials supplied. Creative packs for sale if you wish to do more at home.

HANDMADE RECYCLED PAPER
Angela Abbey

Make sheets of paper from used paper, and plant material from hedgerows and garden. Only plant dyes are used.

PAINTING IN OILS

Alan was heard to say that he could teach anybody to paint! Come away with your own masterpiece. Bring your own kit if available, otherwise, everything supplied.

ELEPHANTS GALORE

Using elephants as a design source, applique, embroidery and shisha work will be used to make a picture, soft hanging, cushion or bag. Materials list supplied upon application

STUMP WORK AND NEEDLELACE
Rosemarie Smith

By request from past pupils. Learn the basics of this Elizabethan technique, and start a small project. Take a look at its application in some contemporary work. Bring 4" ring, 7" calico or polycotton, assorted threads, sewing kit and pen and paper.

LEATHER LOOK BOOKBINDING.
"Beginnings"

Create a hand made book, decorated with hand stitching and transformed with a leather look finish. Bring handmade paper, calico and Bondaweb. Will also be available at the Workshop.

EMBROIDERED LANDSCAPES
Rosemarie Smith

Using Dartmoor for inspiration, create a miniature landscape using sheers and chiffons with simple stitches and applied techniques. All threads and materials available for purchase. Bring oddments, sewing kit and frame.
